
Willa Mae Davis Perry, 74 of Mansfield died September 19, 2000 at home following an extended illness. Mrs. Perry was born March 6, 1926 to the late Herman and Myrtle Davis of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She attended Greensville School in Arkansas. Willa Mae moved to Mansfield, OH and united in Holy Matrimony to William M. Perry on October 29, 1949. From this marriage two sons were born, Terry M. and Michael O. Perry. Willa Mae accepted Christ at an early age. She worked devotedly for Holiday Inn in the Housekeeping unit for about thirteen years. In 1999 she retired due to her illness.
Willa Mae leaves to cherish her memory two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry M. Perry and Michael O. & Debra J. Perry all of Mansfield, OH; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry Davis of Portland, Oregon, Howard & Anne Davis of Gary, Indiana, Hugh & Josephine Brown of Cament, California, Humphery & Sharon Brown and James & Debra K. Brown all of Mansfield; one sister Olivia Williams of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; a sister-in-law, Carrie Davis of Mansfield, OH; three grandchildren, Thomas Matthew Ison Perry, Sir Lancelot Matthew Perry and Aja Neim Perry; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Special friends and neighbors, Callie Canada, Joann Vaugh, Ann Griffin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman & Myrtle Davis; two brothers, Herman Davis and Humphrey Brown; a sister Ruth Linzy and her husband William Matthew Perry in 1976.
Friends may call the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Thursday, September 21, 2000 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the services which will be held on Friday, September 22, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. V. Edward Larson. Burial will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville, OH.
