
Willard F. Wyatt, 79, of 34 Brightwood, Lucas, Ohio died Thursday morning, October 11, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield. Mr. Wyatt was born October 13, 1921 in Laurel County, Kentucky. He retired from Arizona State Department of Corrections where he was a corrections officer and volunteer chaplain. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. Mr. Wyatt was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy Sea Bees during the battle of Iwo Jima. He was a lifetime member of the D.A.V. and a member of A.A.R.P. and F.O.P. Lodge #7.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hibbard Miller Wyatt of Lucas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Onna L. Amburgey of Findlay and Sandy H. & Harold ''Joe'' Reiter of Bellville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary O. & Jonni Wyatt of Guadalupe, California, Roger C. Wyatt and his fiancé Sue Maxell of Mansfield, and Charlie W. & Anna Wyatt of Bellville; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jane Stines; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irdell & Nancy Fields Wyatt; his second wife, Marge Wyatt; a daughter, Fredia Koons; eight brothers, John, Vince, Sherman, Elvia, Lawrence, Bob, Richard, and Charles; and a sister, Ethel Pence.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Jim Carder. Military services will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.
