
William Carl Browning, 63, of Mansfield died at home Wednesday afternoon, August 20, 2003 after a brief illness. Mr. Browning was born November 16, 1939 in Logan, West Virginia living in the Mansfield area the past 37 years. He retired from Stone Container in 2001. He was a life member of AmVets Post #26 and a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Marcum Browning; three daughters and sons-in-law, Janice & Bill Baumgartner of Cincinnati and Laccie & Randy Miller and Anita & David Masters, all of Logan, West Virginia; five sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael P. Frye, Bruce Frye, Kenny Frye, Jerry & Kay Frye and Bill & Alice Frye, all of Logan, West Virginia; 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Nelson and Delores Evans, both of Mansfield and Thelma Stowers of Michigan; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob & Ann Browning and Glen & Becky Browning, all of Mansfield and Ralph Browning of Logan, West Virginia.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to memorial services to be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Dr. Wray C. Smith. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
