Bill was born December 7, 1919 near Paw Paw, Michigan and spent 60 plus years as a long haul truck driver. He retired with a perfect driving and safety record with over two million miles. He was also a self taught backyard mechanic, working on cars, trucks and his beloved vintage Indian and Harley motorcycles which he always referred to as "just tinkering".
Bill is survived by William Caine and Margaret Silva of Sullivan, Kathleen (Steve) Wolf of Ashland and Michael Caine of Westfield Center; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Marylou Matheney; his son, Daniel Caine, two grandchildren; a great great grandson; his sister, Frances; and his former wife, Louise.
As per Bill's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. His family asks that you say a silent prayer of Godspeed onto his next journey.
