Bill “Punk” Hamner, 69, passed away peacefully in the arms of his family at his home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Bill was born on July 9, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the son of Leonard and Lenora (Perry) Hamner. Bill retired in 2012 from Stanley Miller Construction, and was a member of Laborers Local Union 1216 for 37 years. An outdoor enthusiast who greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association of America (NRA). Bill was a die- hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna (Burnworth) Hamner; daughter, Juli (Dave) Lambert; his 2 fur grandbabies; his sisters, Virginia “Sissy” (Sam Jackson) Hamner and Evelyn (Randy) Luzader; and other cherished family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no public services observed. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Hamner family.
