William ''Laney'' Miller

William 'Laney' Delaney Miller, 69, of Mansfield died Monday morning, August 12, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Mr. Miller was born November 4, 1932 in Meniffe County, Kentucky and was an area resident since 1949. He retired from Shaffer Valve in 1997. Laney enjoyed fishing and attending his grandchildren's sporting events to cheer them on.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Boyd Miller; three sons and daughters-in-law, William D. Jr. and Brenda Miller of Alvin, Texas, Steven H. and Leslie Miller of Bellville, Ohio and Stanley D. and Barbara Miller of Ontario, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, David, Dominic, Brian, James, William, Kelly, Samantha, Jeremy, Joshua, Joe, Jarrod, Christa and Matt; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Jewell Link of Mansfield; and one brother, Claude Miller of West Carrollton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Jemima Thomas Miller, two brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, August 15 from 6-9 p.m. An additional hour of calling will be observed one hour prior to funeral services that will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Leroy Bumpus. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
