William Laser

William C. Laser, 88, died Sunday morning in MedCentral Hospital following a long illness. He was born November 7, 1919 in Mansfield living here all his life. Mr. Laser was the owner of Laser Realty. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. Mr. Laser was a member of the First English Lutheran Church where he had served on Church Council. He was active in the community serving as the former Safety Service Director of Mansfield, former Chairman of the Democratic Central Committee, two time president of the Mansfield Board of Realtors and Vice President of the Ohio State Board of Realtors, a member of the Mansfield Kiwanis , 50 year plus member of the Venus Lodge #152 F. & A. M., 50 year member of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Shrine, Baku Grotto, member and Past President of the Mansfield Shrine Club, and a volunteer for the Renaissance Theater.

He is survived by his wife Eleanor Laser; one son Douglas W. Laser of Mansfield, one grandson Patrick Laser of Mansfield; a Brother and Sister-in-law Clifton and Margo Laser; and several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Margaret Laser.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Tuesday November 27, 2007 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at the First English Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Paul Larson. Military graveside service will be held at Mansfield Cemetery.
