William Meadows, III, 39, of Mansfield, passed away May 31, 2011. Born March 15, 1972 in Mansfield, he was the son of William Meadows, Jr. and Lanette Jefferson Meadows. William was a basketball star at St. Peter's High School in the late 1980's and the Owens Tech in Toledo and had played in the Holmes and Brooks Tournament.
William is survived by his wife, Regina Galloway Meadows; a son, William Meadows, IV; a daughter, Joslyn Perdue; his mother, Lanette Meadows; a sister, Zakiya Meadows; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandparents; and his paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield conducted by Rev. James Cosby. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
