

William "Bill" James Roller went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 24, 2017, after a short illness surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Loudonville, Ohio, on April 25, 1928, to James Carl and Lucile Roller.
He attended Loudonville High School. After 2 years at Bryan Jennings University, Bill was drafted in to the U.S. Army and served a total of 6 years in the Korean War. During his active duty, he felt the Lord's will to do battle-front Bible classes in the trenches of Korea. He continued his education at Emmaus Bible College and, ultimately, received his Bachelor Degree in Biblical Studies.
Bill was always interested in missionary work. He traveled throughout Southeast Asia with a literature team ultimately settling in Korea. Bill married Doreen Theresa Frindt in 1969 and traveled with his bride to Korea working with Emmaus Bible correspondence courses. While in Korea, Bill and Doreen adopted two Korean children, David William and Donna Lynn. They served in Korea for ten years. After returning to the U.S. in 1980, Bill served as an elder at Lincoln Heights Gospel Chapel for 7 years. He then served at Ontario Christian Fellowship as visitation minister until his recent passing.
Bill is survived by his wife, Doreen; son, David (Katie) Roller of Mansfield; daughter, Donna (Travis) Janke of Lakeland, FL; grandson, Jack Roller of Mansfield; sister, Susie (Glen) Cole of Bucyrus; nephew, Mike (Doreen) Cole of Columbus, OH; niece, Mary Margaret (Mike) Lyons of Galion; and nephew, John Cole of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents of Loudonville; and an uncle, Harley (Fran) Roller of Atlanta, GA.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Ontario Christian Fellowship, 636 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. with additional visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Mansfield Memorial Park immediately following the service.
