

William G. “Hogan” Sevdalis, 64, of Ontario, died Monday, October 29, 2012 at Hospice of North Central Ohio. Born April 3, 1948 in Akron, he was the son of William G. Sevalis, Sr. and Bonnie (Faultless) Sevdalis. Hogan drove a bus for Sammy Davis, Jr.’s accountant for 13 ½ years before working at Oglesby Construction where he retired from after 23 years. An avid driving enthusiast, two of his favorite toys were his 1977 Kawasaki motorcycle and his MCI motorcoach. Hogan was a lover of all animals, especially his dog, Caine. He enjoyed shooting pool and would play cards with friends daily. Hogan spent a considerable amount of time at Park Lanes Bowling Alley, which is where he met his wife, Carla. He also spent a lot of time with his grandson, Ian, which included many sleepovers where they would enjoy coffee and card playing.
He is survived by his wife, Carla (McBride) Sevdalis whom he married December 23, 1976; daughter, Sydney Sevdalis; step son, Jeffrey (Stacey) Wolfe; grandson, Ian Wolfe; sister, Peggy Sevdalis of New Orleans; brother, Garth Sevdalis of New Orleans; brother-in-law, Jim McBride; Joann “Aunt JoJo” Foreman; and dogs, Caine, Layla, and Lemmi. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Gloria McBride.
Friends may call Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. Ontario. A celebration of life to remember Hogan will follow at 3:00 p.m. at funeral home, conducted by Sandy Lauer, Chaplain of Hospice of North Central Ohio.
