

Doris attended Gwynn Park High School and initially worked at an insurance company before transitioning to the retail sector with companies such as Woolworth, Kmart, and Target. Her career path shifted when she became a dedicated housewife and homemaker after a back injury.
A private and independent person by nature, Doris held her Catholic beliefs close to her heart throughout her life. She found solace and spiritual fulfillment within herself, carrying her faith through all of life challenges.
Doris enjoyed a variety of hobbies that enriched her life and brought joy to those around her. She was an avid reader of romance magazines, enjoyed sewing, and spent many hours engaged in FarmVille. Doris was also a fan of the Game Show Network, Hallmark Channel, and shows like South Park and Family Guy. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, evident in the memorable activities she organized, like the pots and pans marching band, with a colander on Her head and wooden spoon in hand, with 3 little boys banging pots behind her which made her home a magical place for them.
Doris is survived by her eldest daughter, Christine Mahloch, who cared for her devotedly as both daughter and nurse in her final months; son-in-law Jeffrey Mahloch; granddaughter-in-law Aliyah Mahloch; Lynn Becerra and Louis Becerra, son-in-law; her children Arvie Green and(CeeCee); 2 Great grandchildren, Brianna, AKA Luke, and Amanda AKA Mini; James (Mike) Righter Jr. and Bernadette, daughter-in-law; and Katarina Estrada, grandchild. She also leaves behind her brother Melvin Richards and sister-in-law Peggy, as well as sisters Deborah Hines and Neice Sandy Jones and her son Bryan all from Brandywine, Maryland and Connie Richards Greencastle, Pennsylvania.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents Marjorie Alice (Kidwell) Richards (Nanny) and Charles Thomas (Tommy) Richards (PopPop), both from Cheltenham, Maryland. Her Brothers; Donald (Donnie), Charles (Sonny), Randolph (Randy) , Michael (Mike) , James (Slim) and Sisters; Mary Alice Atchison, Catherine Jones, Gloria (Jean), and Helen Richards.
In accordance with her wishes, Her brother Melvin Richards will honor her wishes by spreading her ashes on the family farm where she grew up an emblematic place she cherished deeply as the best years of her life. She loved being a part of that history, adoring the time with her mom and dad and all her siblings. Additionally, some of her ashes will be placed on the graves of her beloved parents and siblings, the rest of her Ashes are unknown, as per her written plan, they were to be interred in the Mausoleum in Marana, Arizona and small keepsakes for her children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Campbell Ave, Tucson, Arizona, which provided significant support to Doris in her final days, or to any recognized Alzheimer's or Vascular Dementia organization. These donations honor Doris's spirit of giving and her commitment to community support and finding a cure.
