Born and raised in Marana, Arizona. Junior graduated from Marana High School and worked for many years at Evergreen Air Center before proudly serving in the United States Army. A decorated serviceman who later retired from the Army, Junior completed two tours during Operation Enduring Freedom and remained a proud veteran, deeply honored by his service throughout his life.
In his early years, Junior was devoted to his family. He was a proud father to his son, Efrian "Oscar" Quiroz III, his step-children, Vanessa and Joseph, and held a special bond with his godson, Martin Jr., who stood faithfully by his side with love and support.
Junior was a proud grandfather to his grandson, Kaizen, a lifelong Steelers fan who rarely missed a game and was known for his strong opinions, sharp sense of humor, and straightforward nature. However, those who truly knew him understood that there was so much more beneath the surface. He carried the weight of his experiences, some of which left lasting marks, yet he remained caring and giving in his own way. Beneath his tough exterior was a loyal heart and a desire for connection, even if it wasn't always easy for him to express.
He is survived by his son, Efrian Oscar Quiroz III; grandson, Kaizen Quiroz; brother Martin Quiroz; sister-in-law, Yvonne Quiroz; niece, Allison Simon; nephews, Martin Jr. and Carlos Quiroz; great-nieces; and a great-nephew.
Junior left a lasting impression on those he came into contact with, and his life was marked by his unwavering devotion to serving his country and taking pride in being a Father and a Grandfather. He is now reunited with those he loved and resting peacefully.
