Margaret Larson

Margaret Larson passed away January 24, 2025, in Marana, AZ at the age of 70.  She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on November 23, 1954.

Margaret was a military Veteran who joined the U.S. Air Force directly out of High School and achieved a rank of E2.  After leaving the military, she obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts from the University of the State of New York in 1987, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from the University of the State of New York in 1996, and an Associate of Applied Science Degree as a Professional Administrative Assistant from Cochise College in 2006.  She also obtained a Nevada Teaching Certificate (K-8 and Special Education).

Her main role was serving as a military wife to her husband who served in the military for over 20 years as they traveled the globe and being a mother and raising her two children, Benjamin and Rebecca.  While she spent much of her time as a homemaker, she also periodically worked as a site facilitator, a substitute teacher, and a learning center operator.

Her main interests were decorative painting, yoga, and music, as she mastered playing the flute.   Also, she obtained a 1st degree black belt from the Associated Taekwondo Administration in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. Her volunteer work included working as a head librarian, youth leader, young adult leader, secretary, and YMCA gymnastics coach.  Also, she was proficient in speaking German.

Margaret is survived by her mother, Janet Winter, of Lynn Massachusetts; her son, Benjamin Larson of Las Vegas, Nevada; her daughter, Rebecca (Abraham) Lopez of Marana, Arizona; her sister, Suzanne Winter (John Bermani) of Lynn Massachusetts, her granddaughter, Tiffany (Bennette) Baiamonte of Orem, Utah; and her great-granddaughter, Everley Baiamonte.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Larson, to whom she was married to for 46 years and her father Robert Winter.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Ft. Huachuca, AZ on February 21, 2025 with military honors.

She will be greatly missed!
