Michael Jacoby Murray, 68, passed away on June 14, 2024. Born to George and Poagie Eversole Murray in Oakridge, TN in 1955, he was raised in Stanford, CT.
Mike spent most of his life in AZ where he attended the University of Arizona. After graduating with a B.S. in Watershed Management, he started his career with the AZ State Land Department, kickstarting a 40 year career remediating environmental contamination.
Mike loved the ocean (body surfing), the mountains, the U of A Wildcats, and traveling. He was a proud father to his two children Meagan Allen and Ian Murray and a grandfather to Lily Allen. Mike approached life with a smile and a sense of adventure.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 20th in Tucson, AZ.
