Richard Di Lallo

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard A. Di Lallo. He passed away on September 16, 2026, after a bad fall in July, at the age of 84 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and attended Proviso East High School (1959, Maywood, Illinois).

Richard is survived by his wife Patricia Di Lallo (nee) Niziolek and Sister Pamela Praner (Steve).

Children Richard Di Lallo II, Melanie Uvelli (Michael deceased), Barbara McMullen (John), Louis Sommer (Yolanda).

Grandchildren Gabrielle Uvelli, Joseph Uvelli, Heather Pine (Joshua), Gabriel Di Lallo, Mykaela McMullen, Zanden McMullen, Ashlyn Sommer (deceased), Rayne Edsell (Zachary), Zackary Sommer, (deceased) Randy Philbrick. Great Grandchildren Kaia Pine Ian Pine and many nieces and nephews. They were all the joy of his life.

He was preceded in death by his Father Ralph J. Di Lallo, Mother Lucille Di Lallo (nee) Kucharski, Sister, MaryLou Valentine

Rich and Pat retired to Tucson, Arizona in 1996. Rich worked for A.M. Castle in Franklin Park, Illinois for 32 years. For 16 of those years, he was in outside sales in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Rich loved to go to Canada on fishing trips. He was a Little League and Senior League Baseball Coach. If you caught the ball with one hand you had to do laps. He loved to travel and enjoyed many cruises, and especially trips to Alaska, Italy and Poland, and annual trips to Sedona, Arizona. He enjoyed any time he could spend with his grandkids. He loved to watch his favorite sports teams Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Chicago Blackhawks, plus Notre Dame Football (top of his list!). Had season tickets to the University of Arizona Women’s Basketball, Softball and Football. He always said that he was glad Pat like sports.

He will be remembered for his laughter and friendliness to others. He LOVED to talk to anyone who would listen, including telemarketers.

A Mass will be celebrated at Santa Catalina Catholic Church 14380 N. Oracle Road Tucson, Arizona. October 13, 2026 at 11:00a.m. Celebration to Life to follow.
