Survived by his daughter Lee Anne Browning-Gillen. Brothers LeeDell Browning and Gordon Browning.
Six grandchildren, Vanessa Browning (Andy), Dalton Browning, Jessica Gillen (Bobby), Colin Gillen (Alexis), Garrett Browning and Dash Browning.
Great Grandchildren Weston Payne Gillen-Millican (Jessica Gillen and Bobby Millican), and Sevan June (Alexis Richmer Gillen and Colin J. Gillen).
Preceded in death by parents Tyler Browning and Ethel Camp-Browning, Wife Barbara Anne
Kratzer-Browning, son William R Browning, sister Covella Browning Kirby, brothers J.C. Browning and James Browning.
Max joined the Air Force December 16, 1951. He served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and in Europe.
He retired August 1, 1972 as a MSGT Master Sergeant. Max was appointed the Bronze Star July 31, 1969.
He enjoyed motorcycles, parachute jumping and was an avid jogger. After retiring he attended
Horse Shoeing School and learned the art of hot shoeing equines of all kinds. He could be seen
around Tucson, Arizona driving his El Camino with his coal forge bolted in the back next to his anvil. He was involved with many equine endeavors.
He will be cremated and buried with his loving wife Barbara Anne Browning who passed in 2004.
Max will be buried with military honors on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 9:00 am at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 15950 N Luckett Rd, Marana, AZ, 85653
