Mark, 66, of Marble Falls, Texas, died on October 12, 2019 at his home after complications from abdominal tumors.
Mark was born on April 29, 1953 in Edinburg, Texas, to Vincent and Valeria Keller. He was the oldest of his four siblings: Susan Skloss, Vivian Bauer, Dwayne Keller, and Paul Keller. After graduating from high school, he served in the US Navy for two years during the Vietnam War on submarines, where he was described as a "gifted technician, conscientious leader and admirable shipmate". After the Navy, he went to college and graduated with a business degree from Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas. Mark married his wife of 42 years, Jo Ann Respondek on March 19, 1977 and they raised two sons together, Casey and Jason, in Round Rock, Texas. Mark worked as a loan officer in the agricultural industry for most of his career, helping many make their dreams come true. He was a craftsman and loved to design and build, whether it was beautiful furniture, hot rod pickup trucks, or soap box derby racers. Mark loved meeting people and could strike up a conversation with anyone, and did! In 2001, Mark and Jo purchased their dream home on the lake in Marble Falls, where their hospitality touched the lives of family and friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother and is survived by his father, his siblings, his wife Jo, his sons, Casey and wife April, and Jason and wife Emily, and four grandchildren: Ty, Kendall, Eli, and Owen.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, October 18, at Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls, Texas. Visitation will begin at 10:30am, with a tribute and lunch at noon.
