A.L. Hahn

A.L. Hahn graduated from high school in Portales, New Mexico in 1939 and enjoyed careers in farming, plumbing, real estate appraisal, and was a real estate broker for 34 years. He served in the U.S. Army in the 608th Field Artillery, 71st Division during WWII. He was a member of the city council and mayor of Lovington, New Mexico for several years.

He was baptized into Christ in 1953 and a member of the 3rd and Central Church of Christ in Lovington, New Mexico for 30 years. He move to Kingsland, Texas after retirement and was a member of the Kingsland Church of Christ for 11 years. He later moved to Marble Falls where he was a member of the Marble Falls Church of Christ for 16 years.

A.L. was loved by family and friends and known by all to have a great sense of humor and very mischievous, but was always willing to lend a helping hand to everyone.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Imogene Hahn of Meadowlakes; daughters: Carrolyn Yancey & husband Doyle of Lovington, New Mexico, Pam Gwin of Marble Falls, Texas; sons: Ron Hahn & wife Terri of Pendleton, Oregon, Kyle Hahn of Marble Falls, Texas; brother Fred Hahn of Granbury, Texas, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Wynema and Ila Ruth and brothers Kenneth, Wayne, and Glen.

Visitation will be Friday, March 12, 2010 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 Pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Marble Falls Church of Christ with Greg Neill and Jim Dobbs officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Kyle Hahn, Keaton Hahn, Sterling Hahn, Kelly Yancey, Clint Gwin and Rocky Gwin.

Memorials may be made to the New Building Fund at Marble Falls Church of Christ, New Mexico Christian Children Home or the local hospice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home of Marble Falls, Texas.
