Alice Menefee

Alice Ann Menefee 61, lost her valiant fight against breast cancer on July 16 2012 at Seton Hospital in Austin, TX. She was born on May 14, 1951, in Texas City, TX. the daughter of Lorris W and Gloria M Williams. Her father preceded her in death.

Alice married her high school sweetheart John W. Menefee and spent the next 43 years of her life with her best friend and lover. Together they had one daughter, Melissa D Hallett.

Alice was known for her infectious smile, laugh and kind heart. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend to many.

She worked years as a purchasing agent in the oil and gas industry. In 2010 she and John moved to their retirement dream home in Sunrise Beach, TX. where they enjoyed their life on Lake LBJ.

Alice is survived by her husband John, daughter Melissa and husband Jeff Hallett, of Ft Collins, CO., granddaughters Bailey Bodine and Ashton Hallett and grandsons Ryan Bodine, Jacob Hallett, Luke Bodine and Jayden Hallett.Alice is also survived by her sisters Brenda and husband Gene Allen from San Antonio, Laurel Rice from Lexington, KY., sister and brother in law Melonie and Carl Menefee of Buffalo, TX.and

niece Heather Engebretson, and nephews Jared Reardon, CJ Menefee and Colby Menefee.

Many supported her and loved her during her fight for life including her

loyal friend and cousin Charlotte Cox, and best friend Cheryl Smith. Though she will be missed, she is no longer suffering and in the presence of her loving Lord.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 19, 2012, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls TX. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 20 at 11 A.M. Viewing and visitation will be available from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral begins at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Sandy Mountain Cemetery in Sunrise Beach.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
