He graduated from Travis High School, 1956. He spent 6 years in the Army Reserve. He joined State Farm Insurance as an Agent in 1970 and retired to Lake Buchanan in 1995.
Being a top producer he and his wife Kitty traveled extensively with their State Farm family. He loved his job helping his clients. Barry loved fishing, hunting, and golf. He also loved his church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his wife of 59 years Kathryn Ann Haffelder, his daughters Connie and her husband Kevin Mottle of Marble Falls, Tx; and Jennifer Menoskey of Cedar Park, Tx; and precious grandchildren Austin Cartwright, Justin Mottle and Ayden Menoskey.
He also leaves a brother Alfred Haffelder and wife Patti of Dripping Springs, Tx as well as a niece Rhonda and nephew Tony, along with many cousins, dear friends and their families.
Barry will always be remembered for his deep love of God and family, sense of humor and storytelling.
He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 4, 2018, from 6pm-8pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 281 North, Marble Falls, Texas 78654.
Memorial Service will be Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11 am in the Chapel at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Graveside Service will follow at Lakeland Hills, 4219 Park Road 4, Marble Falls, Texas.
