

Bertha Mae Summers, 90, was born to Emma and Clyde Beam in Clairmont, Texas, on October 16, 1934. She married the love of her life, Arvel Edward Summers, on December 7, 1954. Together, they retired to Granite Shoals, Texas, in 1985.
Bertha enjoyed her work with Dr. McCurdy in Marble Falls for many years, where she became an integral part of the local community. She was also a devoted member of the First Assembly of God in Marble Falls. Bertha lived a full and cherished life, surrounded by family and friends who loved her deeply.
On December 26, 2024, Bertha passed away peacefully. She is survived by her four children: Deborah Rolfe and husband Daniel of Copperas Cove, Deana Beck and husband Donnie of Albuquerque, Cathy Cannon of Marble Falls, and Michael Summers of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Heather Henderson and husband Kyle of Denver, Timothy Rolfe and wife Amanda of Copperas Cove, David Rolfe and wife Deanna of Rowlett, Jacqueline Chrisman and husband Les of Albuquerque, and Roxanne Roberts of Albuquerque, as well as by her ten great-grandchildren.
Bertha is also remembered fondly by her three sisters: Bonnie Barker, Annette Layton, and Jannette Goodman. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, her sisters Jewell and Louise, her brothers Lester and Elmer, and her grandson Justin.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the First Assembly Marble Falls, located at 96 Main Street, Marble Falls, TX 78654. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Assembly Marble Falls in honor of Bertha Mae Summers.
