Curtis Sayers was born in Abilene, Texas, on April 1, 1962 to Butch Sayers and Bertie Collier Burnam. He graduated from Marble Falls High School. He went to mechanic’s school and from there he worked as a mechanic in Marble Falls.
Curtis was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing more than most of us. His favorite thing was making people laugh. Curtis had a way of finding something funny in life when it seemed like there was nothing even worth smiling for. There was never a dull moment around Curtis Sayers even in the dullest of moments. He loved his family and friends whole heartedly even if he didn’t show it at times.
We will miss Curtis dearly and forever, but we will never forget the precious time we got to spend with him. We can rest easy knowing he is pulling a big catfish off a jug line as we speak.
Curtis Sayers is survived by his parents, Butch Sayers and Janice Sayers, Bobby Burnam and Bertie Burnam, his sister Shelia Bownds and husband Al, his step-sisters Jennifer Tilton and husband Bill, Bridgette Burnam and Janet Douglas and his step-brothers Greg Stapleton and Jerry Stapleton and daughter. Curtis is also survived by his nephew, Chance Bownds and family, his niece Baily Schneider and husband Clay and family, his step-niece Tinley Via and husband Sterling and family as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Austie and Bea Ruth Collier and Chet and Alice Sayers, and his aunts Barbara Crownover and Gracie Frasier.
