He was born on August 3, 1936 in Bell City, Missouri to Jeptha Fisher and Ruth Osburn Fisher.
David was married to Helen Louise Bailey on March 21, 1959 and they were shared fifty nine wonderful years together.
David is survived by his wife, Helen, sons Dennis, Brian and Allen. Grandchildren Loren and husband Scott, Ashley and husband Travis, Tess and husband Dustin, David, Graham and Zackary, five great grandchildren, Alexis, Hunter, Lee Ann, Bailey Jo and Grant. He is also survived by one sister, Janice Pruner and one brother, Mac Fisher.
David was preceded in death by his son Gene Edward, his father, Jeptha, his mother Ruth and his brothers Lewis, Roy, Dan, Glen, Richard and J.B.
