OBITUARY

David Patrick Flynn

March 5, 1961January 20, 2018

In loving memory of David Patrick Flynn, born in Dublin, Ireland, beloved husband of Carol, dear father of Fintan and Conor. Dave passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 20, 2018.

Dave grew up in the Glen of the Downs and went to college at University of College, Dublin. After multiple summer visits to the US, he was set on a life overseas. He married Carol and they started their adventure in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada but after three cold winters, it was time to move south to sunny California. While there, Carol and Dave welcomed two sons, Fintan and Conor. He worked for a variety of companies, notably Pacific Bell, PeopleSoft, Oracle and Workday. After 16 ½ years, it was on the move again to Austin, TX. His career continued at Workday, then back to Oracle, C3, and most recently HotSchedules. During this time, Dave and Carol worked on their plan to build a home on their little slice of heaven in the Hill Country near Marble Falls. They moved into their new home in January 2017.

He enjoyed the peace and tranquility of his new home surroundings, cycling, daily walks with Murphy, and helping establish their new community. The amazing sunrises and sunsets were a constant source of pleasure.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Carol, sons Fintan and Conor, his devoted parents Norah and Fintan, brothers Michael, Fintan, and Derek, sisters-in-law Jean and Cecilia, brother-in-law Andrew, his wife Shirley, Muriel, and eleven nephews and nieces. Also by his extended family and many friends in the USA, Canada, and Ireland + his favorite canines, Murphy and Wiggs.

May he rest in peace
