Donald Martin Stary Sr.

The family of Donald Martin Stary, Sr. of Spicewood, Texas is saddened to announce his passing on December 10, 2025 at the age of 73 years. Donald (Don) was born on June 13, 1952 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston, Texas.

A man of great resolve, Don changed careers multiple times in his life in search of a new challenge. He worked in the fields of surveying and engineering before discovering his final passion, computers as an Information Technology Manager, in which he owned and operated his own business until the time of his passing.

Despite being known as a man of many interests and talents, including woodworking, tinkering, and computers, Don’s favorite pastimes were cooking and hosting gatherings at his home for friends and family. As a gesture to make guests feel at home, he loved to tell people “If you’ve been here more than once, then you can get it yourself”.

His outgoing personality and frequent gestures to do nice things for family and friends, even for ones that he just met, served as a constant reminder of the love he held in his heart. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary L. Stary, and son, Donald Martin Stary, Jr. Services will be held at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, Texas on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
