I was fortunate to be paired with Doreen at one of my first play days in the HSB WGA several years ago. Frankly, standing next to her - she was dressed in her usual sartorial splendor and playing great golf- I felt clumsy and dowdy. But she was super friendly, very welcoming and shared a great bit of salty humor with us. It was a wonderful time. Fast forward to 2021, I was lucky to be paired with Doreen at a Rockfest event. She was the same- funny, well-dressed, friendly and talented. To say she was an inspiration to all of us seems like a cliche- but she truly was. We will miss you my friend.

Doreen and I were paired in the same group on 5/5/21, Rockfest. Susan K. said Doreen was her hero. She had a treatment the day or two before. We all tee up on Wednesday morning on 5/5. We all play pretty Not Good golf until we get to 12 on Slick Rock during a highly competitive round, ( Not really) and Doreen sinks the longest breaking putt, impossible putt, I have ever seen in my Life.
Deano, you boys have never witnessed this I can attest to.
I’m privileged to say I had that time with her.
I’ll miss you.

Once upon a time up in Adams, ND in June of 1966 one bashful little girl with Blonde Hair and Blue Eyes, named JoAnn Hove was scared to go to kindergarten. A bold little girl with Brown Hair and Brown eyes named Doreen Dahlgren was her neighbor and she took JoAnn by the hand and led her into school and they have been friends ever since….
Where do I ever begin to say what a wonderful friend Doreen has been to me. We have shared many special times throughout these 55 years filled with lots of laughter.
My Sympathy to David and all of Doreen’s family
The world has lost a great person. Rest in peace my Dear Friend.
Friends Forever
