
Edward John Bloomer, 93, went to be with the Lord on Thursday July 12, 2012. He is preceded in death by the love of his life E. Jean Bloomer, his parents Walter and Marie Bloomer, his brothers Walter and Fred, his sisters, Jean, Gladys, and Muriel, and a grandson Doug Anderson. He is survived by two daughters Sharron Morgan and husband Richard; Janice Hall, and sons Kevin Bloomer and Scott Bloomer, 9 grandchildren; Marcy Morgan, Marie Stark, Jeffrey Morgan, Melissa Walker, Jeff Hall, Matthew Hall, Sheridan Reeb, Brandon Anderson and Jonathan Bloomer, numerous great -grandchildren and a great many friends.
He loved to sing, and was always a member of a church choir or a community choir wherever life took him. His other 2 passions were debating politics and travel, especially if it involved New Jersey hotdogs and hard rolls. In 2002 at the age of 84 he got to take his first trip to Europe and loved it.
Ed was a Deacon Emeritus of Spicewood Baptist Church, and was active in the music ministry at both Spicewood Baptist Church and Bluebonnet Hills Baptist Church. His relationship with God began at an early age and continued until his death. He was ordained as a Baptist Minister well into his 80’s.
He retired from the University of Texas at Austin where he worked as a Science Instrument Maker for several years. He was also a veteran of WWII.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday July 17th at 11AM in the chapel at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, TX followed by a short graveside service at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, TX. with Pastor Bill McCormick officiating.
Pallbearers are Matthew Hall, James Stark, Alex Stark, Bradly Stark, Jonathon Bloomer and Brandon Anderson.
