

Gayle Annette Dalton of Meadowlakes, Texas passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the age of 76 years following a lengthy illness of Alzheimer’s. Gayle was proceeded in death by her husband, Kent Dalton; her parents, Ethel & Rayford Purnell; her brother & sister in-law, Pam & Tom Mahony; brother in-law, Tom Laros; and nephew, John Findley.
Gayle is survived by her sons, Brent Dalton of Meadowlakes, Texas; Trent Dalton and his wife Julie of Nolanville, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Cene, Chase, & Cody of Marble Falls, Texas. Gayle is also survived by her sister, Gerry Gray of Thornhurst, Pennsylvania; sister in-law, Diane Laros of Highland Park, Texas; 3 nephews & 3 nieces.
Gayle was born on September 11, 1940 in Wheeler County, Texas, and was raised in Amarillo, Texas, where she met Kent at Amarillo High School. Gayle & Kent were married in 1960, and Gayle gave birth to her children in 1961 & 1962, while Kent was stationed at Whidbey Island Naval Base in Washington. Gayle became an executive vice-president in Killeen, Texas, and eventually became executive vice president of an independent oil company in Houston, Texas before they relocated their real estate business and home to Marble Falls, Texas in 1992. Gayle was co-owner and a realtor with Kent Dalton & Associates, councilwoman at City of Meadowlakes, and member of 1st United Methodist Church of Marble Falls. Gayle was devoted to her husband, and grandkids whom she loved very much, and will be missed, but not forgotten by all who loved and knew her.
