Helen Elizabeth Schwartz

Helen E. (Perry) Schwartz, age 85 of Marble Falls, passed peacefully away at her home on Saturday, February 13, 2016. She was born to the late Flossie (Brogan) and Frank Cobra in Flint Michigan on October 1, 1930.

Helen married Oliver A. Perry December 12, 1953. And resided in Birch Run, Michigan where they raised 5 children; Floyd and Ronald Stephens, Jeffery, Cynthia and Lydia Perry. She was extremely proud of her 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church Birch Run. And enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening, sewing hobbies and being an amateur radio operator.

In 1983 they retired and relocated to Marble Falls, Texas and became a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran church. Helen remained active in her community as a Highland Lakes Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and took great pride in helping “her CASA kids.” And continued her passion for gardening by raising and showing orchids.

Oliver proceeded her in death in 1991 then remarried the late Harold Schwartz.

A private celebration of Helen’s life was held in her home on February 14, 2016. Helen’s interment will be at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
