Pa Jake and Violent showed me all the love that a couple could give. My parents were in Lubbock, so I was kinda adopted into the Boyd’s clan. As Calvin said, Pa Jake had a wonderful sense of humor and I was so gullible he sort of picked on me. For instance, he, Russell, Calvin and I were on the boat dock one night when a ginormous Alligator Gar, which I had never seen before, swam towards me. At which point I started backing up and Jake asked me if I thought it was going to get me. I will miss the old man, but when we all come together, what a day of rejoicing that will be.
