Jack W Seward

Jack W. Seward of Marble Falls passed away August 3, 2026 at the age of 89. Jack was born August 24, 1936 on the family homestead in Maple Landing on the Missouri river near Whiting, Iowa. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Johnnie and Lenora Seward, brothers Gary, Bryan, and Danny Seward as well as one daughter Christie Lee, a son Stacy Jack, and son in law Cliff Heinatz.

Jack is survived by his wife of 71 years, Carol Ann, son Craig and wife Judy of Goldthwaite, and daughter Roxane Heinatz of Marble Falls. Grandchildren Carrie O’Connor and husband Scott, Corey Hogue and husband Pat, Jess Seward and wife Lillian, Afton Null and husband Ryan, Stacy Heinatz and wife Bailey and Crystal Heinatz. Great grandchildren; Brantley O’Connor and wife Mallory, Braedyn O’Connor, Cole Hogue, Cahill, Jack Lowell, and Cora Lee Seward, Twyla, Tessa, and Taya Null, Clifton and Gage Heinatz.

Jack was a faithful husband, father, and grandfather. He dedicated his life to his family. After high school he enlisted in the Army. He was also a very dedicated employee of Midwest /Luhr Brothers Construction for 58 years and continued as a consultant for several years after. The “jetty man” as he was called was a mentor to many young men thru the years. If you have ever been on the gulf coast from Sabine Pass to Brownsville and walked or fished from a jetty, you can bet that Jack was part of it from 1962 thru 2016. Jack worked in numerous states throughout his career from the head waters of the Missouri River on the Garrison Reservoir and Lake Sacagawea to the Gulf Coast of Florida, Louisiana, and Texas. Jack was a Master Mason for 63 years as well as being a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.
