James, known by his family and close friends as ‘Jamie’, was born in Austin, TX on September 21st, 1967. Jamie is survived by his loving mother and father, Frances and Richard Rubin of Granite Shoals, TX, and four sisters: Melissa Rubin of Granite Shoals, TX, Tish Mann of Georgetown, TX, Renee Hamblett of Fair Grove, MO, Clarissa Davidson of Austin, TX and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nephew.
Jamie suffered many years with the residual effects of the radiation he underwent following a brain tumor removal at age 25. Although told by his surgeon he would be paralyzed on his left side and never work again, he defied the odds and after becoming a journeyman pipefitter, he worked ten years before he had to retire on disability. But he continued to amaze everyone with his determination and good humor. Jamie never realized how many lives he touched and how he blessed those lives. He was his PawPaw’s best friend and helped him get through his golden years by giving him love and, most importantly, his time. He was always available to help out family and friends before even being asked. Love and goodness poured out of him every day of his life. Jamie was an angel on earth, and we rejoice at the peace he now has resting in the arms of our Father in Heaven.
Jamie's Funeral Service will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 N US Highway 281, Marble Falls, TX 78654 on Saturday, April 26th, 2025 at 11am.
