
Jean Allen Kirkpatrick was born in Caldwell County, Texas on June 16, 1935 to Rodney Allen Gray and Helen Constance Herron-Jerls. Jean passed from this life on January 28, 2012 in Marble Falls, Texas, at the age of 76 and was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Lonnie Joe Gray. After 26 years of dedicated service, Jean retired from AT&T, but her most memorable occupation was showering her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with “sugar.”
Jean is survived by her husband of over 30 years, James “Jimmy” Kirkpatrick; their 6 children: Jacquelyn Hall and husband William, Jamie Allen and husband Stan, Allen Buckner, Alan Kirkpatrick, Scott Kirkpatrick, and Karen Kirkpatrick; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Jean is also survived by her brother Rodney Paul “Bubba” Gray and wife Nora and brother-in-law Thomas Kirkpatrick and wife Laverne; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and beloved friends. Jean was the heart and soul of her family and was known for her ability to bring everyone together, teaching them the importance of family and the enduring power of love. She will be missed, but never forgotten.
Services will be held at McNeil Cemetery in Caldwell County at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 2, 2012.
