She met and married John C. Burgess and they celebrated 63 years of marriage. They had three children, Judith A Bryan, Patricia L. King and James C. Burgess.
Joan is survived by her husband and children, her sister Barbara Nomille, and grandchildren Robert King and Tyler Burgess.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Clements Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel.
