

John David Mitchell, age 86 of Horseshoe Bay, Texas passed away on February 2, 2011. He was born in Stockman, Texas on June 2, 1924. He was a Electrician with Marathon Oil Company in Texas City for 38 ½ years.
He is survived by his wife Cordelia Anne Hallmark Mitchell of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, son and wife Johnny Dean and Susan Mitchell of Horseshoe Bay, Texas son and wife David Earl Mitchell and Patti of Dallas, Texas, granddaughters and husbands Jennifer and Ryan Bessler of East Dethel, MN and Sarah and Mark Ferguson of Dallas, Texas grandson and wife Jonathan and Alison Mitchell of Los Angeles, CA., grandson Justin Mitchell of Houston, Texas, granddaughter Courtney Mitchell of Dallas, Texas, two sisters Velma Roberts and Selma Rutherford both of Portland, Texas, great grandchildren Abigail Mitchell, Rose Ferguson, Naomi Ferguson, Josiah Mitchell, brothers-in-law and wife Joe and Brenda Hallmark of Houston, Texas, sister-in-law and husband Mabeth and Ken Coleman of Houston, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents Jefferson Davis Mitchell and Ada Leona Cotton Green six sisters, four brothers and brother-in-law Don Hallmark.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, Camp Peniel of Marble Falls, Texas. Special thanks to Mamie Holbrook and daughter LaDonna sitter and friend. John was dedicated and committed to the Lord as demonstrated by his commitment to his family and his wise leadership. He lived his life according to the bible.
