John M. (Jack) Tate went to join his mother, father, his brothers and sister and two previous wives in Heaven on May 25, 2015. For Jack to have gone to Heaven on Memorial Day was very befitting as he was very proud to have served his country during World War II.
Jack was born in Drummonds, Tennessee on December 12, 1926. He lived many years in Memphis, Tennessee and was the owner of Jack Tate’s Restaurant Supply there. Because his first wife, Patricia Chaffee Tate was in bad health, he sold his business and moved to Durango, Colorado.
After Patricia’s death, he later married Ollie Oldam. They moved to Kingsland, Texas where Ollie passed away.
Later, Jack married Wilma Molpus who survives him. They were married eleven years at the time of Jack’s death. Jack had no children but was very proud of and loved his nieces and nephews.
Besides being a deacon in his church, he was a Master Mason and a Shriner for sixty five years.
Graveside services will be held in Durango, Colorado at the Masonic Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Highland Lakes Baptist Church in Kingsland, Texas or to any Shrine Hospital in your area.
Arrangements by Clements Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, Texas. Online condolences may be made at www.clementswilcoxfuneralhome.com
