Katherine Allen

Her father and maternal grandparents immigrated to the United States from Italy. Her mother was born in New York City, NY. Her parents met in Los Angeles, CA and were married in the mid 1920's where her father made a living as a tailor and her mother as a seamstress.

Katherine grew up in Los Angeles and attended John Marshall High School. She started working in 1952 at age 16 for the American Telephone and Telegraph Company as a cord board operator while still in high school. Katherine loved hanging out with her friends and cousins at the beach and enjoyed going to the Santa Monica Pier.

Katherine married her first husband in 1954 and had three children. She married her second husband, John Allen in 1984 and celebrated their 30 Year Wedding Anniversary this past March.

Over the years Katherine has lived in several locations including California, Illinois, The Philippines and eventually settled down in Marble Falls, TX.

She was deeply loved by her husband and her family. She enjoyed getting out, going places and doing things and especially loved seeing and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Katherine passed away peacefully on November 17th, 2014 with her three children and husband at her bedside.
