I miss Katherine so very much although I didn't see her as much as I would have liked.  She was always an inspiration to me and still is.  I know Z.L. misses her greatly.

Kathy and I worked together when she lived in Alexandria, Louisiana.  She was a very unique individual and loving and giving. Over the years we have known one another, she has always been able to  make me laugh.  Kathy was an encouragement to everyone she met.  She will be greatly  missed.  My prayers are with the family.

Dear ZL, , our sweet lady is now with our Sweet Lord and we will see her before much longer.  Know that my heart is open to your grief and that I pray for your Peace.  Katherine was very special to me, an inspiration from the Lord.

ZL & family, may God continue to bless you and may you find comfort in knowing Katherine is in the most wonderful place celebrating Christmas with our Lord. She was such a blessing each time we saw her, always with a smile and encouraging word. She & I always marveled that we were two very blessed ladies. Z.L. Blankenship and family, I am very sorry for your loss. I know she is beaming with a smile being with Her Lord. I Pray God comforts you and keeps you near. I am happy knowing she is there waiting.

Katherine was a dear woman.  I loved her smile and outgoing personality.  I am truly greatful that she is in the loving arms of our Lord and she will look down upon us with him to keep us safe.

Katherine was a precious friend. She always had a smile and something always encouraging for me. She has left behind a-lot of precious memories that a-lot of good people will hold on too.
I thank God for bringing Katherine , ZL and Lisa into my life.

Although we were saddened to hear of Katherine's passing, the knowledge that she simply passed from this life to life with our Lord is a great comfort.  We pray, Z.L. and family, that you will feel God's comfort at this time.  What a blessing to know we will see her again!

Katherine had always been an inspiration to me. Always had a beautiful smile no matter the circumstances. Her hugs were the best. That was Katherine. She was a beautiful person with a beautiful spirit filled with her love for God. You will be missed Katherine. I am at peace knowing she is already in the loving arms of our Father and I will see her again one day.

I met Kathrine when my husband, Bob, and I first moved to Spicewood Beach.  Bob was helping Z.L. do some carpentry work, so Katherine invited some members over from the Friendship Class of Spicewood Baptist Church, and, since I was new to the area, she invited me to join them and invited me to visit the church as well.  Bob and I visited the very next Sunday, and moved our membership from our church in Corpus Christi, TX to here.  We've never regretted joining.
One of the things I enjoyed w/our class was a field trip.  Katherine drove her suburban filled w/members, and another member drove the second group.  We went to the shopping mall at San Marcos, then ate lunch together before returning home.  On the way home, Bedie Bradbury told us she knew a shortcut called Purgatory Road.  However, w/the laughing and talking in each car, we somehow got separated from the other car.  We had lots of fun, but we teased each other from then on about our trip to "purgatory."  Katherine was always lots of fun, a great teacher of our class and was famous for being able to do all craftwork from knitting to crochet.  If she tried something new, in a matter of minutes, she'd have grasped the hang of it, and would help others who were less inclined to learn it also.  I recall one member who was trying to grasp the knack of what Katherine was trying to teach her, and she finally gave up on learning it when she got so frustrated about having to rip it out and begin again.
I, for one, will certainly miss her, but though I will miss her, I KNOW where she is and I'll see her again one day.
