Kenneth Wayne Johanson

Kenneth Wayne Johanson unexpectedly passed from life to eternal life with Christ Saturday evening, April 8, 2023. He had just celebrated a beautiful day with his loving family, who will greatly miss his strong smiling presence.

Kenneth was born December 6, 1946 in San Saba, Texas to Selma and Wayne Johanson. He grew up with his siblings Larry and Jeanette. He loved Jesus and was a lifelong member of the Lord’s family. He faithfully worshiped with the church of Christ.

He attended college at Tarleton State University obtaining a degree in education. He also served in the United States Army as a military police officer. As a young father, he gained his masters degree in education. He had a long and impactful career as a school teacher and principal.

His most valued experiences in life were with his family. He married his precious wife Penny on June 27, 1970. They were happily married for nearly 53 years with three children and their spouses. Shirley (Ruston), John (Amber), and James. He had four grandchildren: Hannah, Johnna, Zachariah and Robert. He had many uncles, aunts and cousins who he cherished spending time with. He loved family time!

He is predeceased by his mother, father, infant sister (Janet), brother, and grandson Robert.
