Mary was what was on her driver’s license but many knew her by Liz. She was loved by many.
Liz had undergone surgery for lung cancer last March and had a heart condition for many years. Liz was a fighter and you always thought when she was going to the hospital you would just see her in a few days. Some say she was honoree and would be around forever. God had another plan. He was ready for her to come home and to be at peace. Born Liz Clendennen April 21, 1945, in Page Fayette County, West Virginia, Liz attended Montgomery High School.
Liz was one of the owners of the Lazy A and after selling she spent her days doing odds and ends but most importantly being a house wife and caring for her children and grand children. Her family was her life and she would do anything to for them. Liz loved fall when the trees would change because it would remind her of West Virginia. She also loved spring and had a green thumb. She also loved decorating her house and always looking her best.
Liz was preceded in death by her loving mother Arbutus James Pinson; brothers, George William Pinson and John Delmore “Mickey” Pinson; and her sisters Marcia Johnson and Judith Ann Jarrill.
Surviving family includes husband, Winston Wayne Clendennen; children, Chelsea Renee’ Clendennen- Morrow, Diane Renee’ Zastopil, Christal Gay Pinson, Christopher Wayne Clendennen and Winston Wayne Clendennen II; and siblings Denver Eugene Pinson. Liz had seven grandsons and five grand daughters.
Liz wished to leave a parting message for the loved ones she leaves behind: “This I ask of those I love- weep not for me, Remember not the tears, but the laughter we shared. Remember not the harsh, but the tender words we spoke. Weep not for me, for I have lived and loved, and I would have you smile in sweet remembrance”.
Service will be 3pm Saturday, February 7, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Marble Falls.
