Lloyd George Guthrie, born on May 22, 1921, to Sally Sanders and George Jefferson Guthrie in Rockdale, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2017. He survived the passing of two brothers, James and Theodore Guthrie.
Lloyd was a petty officer in the Navy, trained in airplane engineering. He served in World War II, then moving on to The Boeing Company, based out of Seattle, Washington. At Boeing, he was a design engineer for the wind tunnel at Plant Two. He also became an accomplished glider pilot. He retired in Washington state and then moved to Marble Falls, Texas for his remaining years.
He is survived by two sons, Gary Lew Guthrie and Lloyd George Guthrie, Jr. Also survived by six grandchildren, Steven Guthrie, Robert Guthrie, Barbara Guthrie, Laura Swaffard, Amy Hollister and Jennifer Schulz, as well as 8 great grandchildren.
He was loved and will be missed by all.
