Lorene Alice Brown

Born on August 27, 1920 in West Frankfort Illinois; Lorene worked as a clerk typist for several businesses, and as a secretary and Security Custodian at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. At the age of 55 she graduated from Long Beach Community College as an LVN, and worked for Long Beach Community Hospital in California for many years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Kingsland, Texas, she enjoyed camping and fishing; she loved God and going to church and loved her family very much. When you asked her how she was doing and she answered with, “fine as frog hair”, you knew she was having an exceptionally good day.

She was preceded in death by husbands Frank James and Elmer Brown, and children Tommy and Jimmy Mundy, Rosa Lee James; her sisters Edna Anderson, Ina Totten, Nina Saiz, Velta Struble, and Bea Coburn.

She is survived by her son, Ron James and wife Becky, daughter, Margaret LaRo and her husband David, 5 grandchildren: Judith Friesenhahn, Kathy Allen, Leslie Hayes, Jasmine James and Katy Gibson, as well as 6 great-grandchildren, Ryan and Callie Friesenhahn, and Mason, Marshall, Merritt and Marie Allen.

Visitation will be Friday, June 5, 2015 from 5-7 pm at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, Texas.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 2 pm at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel.
