

Linnie Lucille Nevill Shults Owens passed away February 8, 2016, in Burnet, Texas. Lucille was born June 24, 1919, the first child to Ross and Levada Nevill in Iola, Texas. She was followed by the birth of five siblings.
In 1940, she married Floyd Shults of Madisonville, Texas, and gave birth to one child, Nancy Lynn. Floyd died in 1958 and Lucille had to switch roles of wife and mother to career woman and single mother.
For the next 25 years she worked at the Lone Star Steel Company in the personnel department. Upon her retirement she moved to Marble Falls, Texas, to be closer to her sister, Mary Rogers, and her brother, Milton Nevill. When her sister was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and went to Temple for care, Lucille followed and remained by her side until Mary's death. After her sister passed away, Lucille returned to Marble Falls and lived there until health complications made it necessary to move into The Oaks nursing home in Burnet.
Lucille was preceded in death by: her parents, her husbands, her brothers, Nolan and Arvil Nevill, her sister, Mary Rogers, and her special friend, Orland Baker of Marble Falls.
She is survived by: her daughter, Nancy S. Reeves (William H) of Spokane, Washington; granddaughter, Stephany L. Fisher (Richard N) of Atlanta, Georgia; grandson Joel H Reeves of Spokane, Washington; great granddaughter, Lucy C. Fisher of Atlanta, Georgia, and her sister, Artie Mae Cobb of Lake Jackson, Texas and her brother, Milton Nevill (Lorraine) of Marble Falls.
Additionally, Lucille is survived by her "East Texas" adopted daughters, Gail Womack of Naples, Texas and Sue Robinson of Omaha, Texas.
In her later years, in addition to having her brother Milton close, she had her grand niece Viki Donlop (Randy) of Lampasas, Texas there to care for and love her unconditionally. Viki was a special gift from God to Lucille.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, starting at 10:00 am at the Clements Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, Lucille requested donations be made in her memory to the First United Methodist Church of Marble Falls.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Naples.
