Mamie Dell Vance, of Marble Falls, passed away on September 17, 2018. She was born in Comanche, Texas on May 10, 1914, to Jack Creek, Sr., and Mary Lewis Creek. She married Edward “Ted” Vance on July 23, 1935 and they were married for 57 years. She attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood. She worked at Montgomery Wards for 23 years in the accounting department. She also worked at Charles Maund Automotive for several years in the credit department in Austin. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Marble Falls.
She loved to be around family and friends. She also loved to fish, travel, and work in her flower beds.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Ted” Vance; brothers: Elmer Creek, Bill Creek, Joe Creek, Jack Creek Jr. and sisters: Effie Tinney, Lillie Mae Hicks, Imogene Hooten.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
