Maureen Hering

She was born February 14th 1940, in Waco, Texas, to RO and Francis Mahaffey.

Maureen spent her life making a warm and loving home for her family throughout her life. Her home was always open to her children's neighborhood friends who could always feel at home there.

She loved her plants and was active in the Waco Garden Club. She also loved to cook and was very fond of trying new recipes for her family.

She was active in her church as she was totally devoted to her lord Jesus. She was instrumental in bringing her love of Jesus to her family.

Maureen never met a stranger and loved to start conversations with people no matter where she was, she genuinely loved people. Mauren's love for her grandchildren was usually her topic of conversation.

Maureen was preceded in death by her loving Husband of 55 years, Jerry Hering, her daughter Kristie Hering, her parents, and her sister Janis LaRose. She is survived by her son Kenneth (wife Cara) Hering and two grandchildren, Matthew (wife Alex) Hering and Luke (wife Katie) Hering. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren, Jane, Nathan, Michael, Theodore, and Charlie.

A graveside service will be held Thursday September 17th at 1:00pm at Waco Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund in Maureen's honor.
