Michael Dwayne Varns

Michael Dwayne Varns, 60, of Marble Falls, Texas passed away Monday, September 25th, 2023.

He was born on June 26th, 1963 in Inglewood, California. In 1995, Michael went into a rehab program with the Salvation Army. Following his completion and graduation of his program, he went to work with the Salvation Army for almost 18 years. Michael was a devoted Christian and was vastly involved with Calvary Chapel South Bay. In early 2015, he moved to Texas to be closer to his mother and daughter. He was involved with the VFW Post of Marble Falls, and was befriended by many. Michael recently celebrated his 28th year of sobriety on August 16th, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harvey Merle Varns and brother, Randy Wineinger. Michael is survived by his parents, Judy and Sam LeGault; brother Scott Toomey and wife Raelynn; son, Adam Snook, and wife Erika, grandsons Jeremiah, Nathaniel, and Ezra; daughter Briana French, and husband Nathan, granddaughter Fallon and grandson Jarek.

A Celebration of Life for Michael Varns will be held at the VFW Post in Marble Falls on November 19th, 2023 from 1:00pm-5:00pm. In June 2024, a service for immediate family and friends will be held at Inglewood Park Cemetery where Michael will be placed in his final resting spot beside his grandfather, Harvey Varns.
