Mylon "Torg" Darryl Torgerson

Mylon Darryl Torgerson, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, at the age of 86. He was born on May 15, 1940, in Stanley, North Dakota, to Neil Manley Torgerson and Delores (Retterath) Torgerson.

Mylon grew up in Minot, North Dakota, alongside his sister, Vickey. It was there that he met his high school sweetheart, Harriet Huus. Together, they shared the good times of youth—surrounded by good friends, school dances and laughter that became memories. They were married in June of 1960.

After attending junior college, Mylon began a career with a major oil company, where he worked for more than 35 years as a geological analyst moving through Wyoming, California, Montana, Texas and Colorado.

Mylon and Harriet welcomed three children, Linda, Les, and Andy. Mylon was supportive of his children's interests and hobbies—sometimes becoming just as interested in them as they were.

After retirement, Mylon and Harriet made their home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where they enjoyed more than 30 years of hot weather, family visits, road trips, and the occasional overnights to the casinos. More recently, they relocated to Texas to be closer to family.

Torgerson holidays were filled with familiar traditions, including requests for Harriet's famous banana bread and lefse. Mylon would reminisce and tell stories about family members and days gone by. His stories and memories were a way of keeping family history alive, and those who listened will carry those stories on.

Mylon and Harriet were devoted sports fans. NASCAR, baseball, and football were favorite pastimes, and in their home, if the news wasn't on television, chances are that sports were. These simple everyday moments became part of the rhythm and memories.

Mylon was preceded in death by his parents, Neil and Delores Torgerson, and his beloved wife, Harriet, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.

He leaves behind a family who loved and admired him deeply: his children, Linda (Henry) Garcia, Les (Kim) Torgerson, and Andy Torgerson; his sister, Vickey (Torgerson) Leonard; six grandchildren, Chris Garcia, Blake Garcia, Gabrielle (Nick) Ebener, Lynsey Torgerson, Miles Torgerson, and Bailey (John) Muench; and three great-grandchildren, Oakli, Robert, and Anni Ebener.

Mylon’s quiet strength and genuine love for his family were evident in the many ways he showed up for them throughout the years. His family will miss his stories, his wisdom, his familiar presence, and the simple moments of being together.
