Patricia "Pat" Annabell Savage, 86, passed away surrounded by the love of her family in Marble Falls, Texas. Born on April 25, 1940, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to Gordon and Lila (Kjorven) Courneya, Pat grew up in Hammond, Indiana.
It was in high school that she met the love of her life, Glenn Savage. After accepting his proposal on the way to their Senior Prom, Pat married her sweetheart on April 11, 1959. In 1972, Pat and Glenn traded the Midwest Cold for the Texas Hill Country, setting down roots in Marble Falls, Texas, to raise their five boys. While Glenn was out looking for worms and stringing fishing poles with their sons, Pat was the heart and constant anchor of the Savage home. She was a woman of strong work ethic, spending 10 years serving her community at the bank in Marble Falls before later working for Burdett Builders.
Pat's heart was always centered on her family. She possessed the patience of a saint to keep up with a household full of six men, and she kept everyone well-fed—especially after rescuing the kitchen whenever Glenn attempted to cook. Alongside Glenn, Pat spent countless hours in the stands, faithfully cheering on their boys at every Freshman, JV, and Varsity game. Her quiet strength, gentle grace, and endless dedication to her family were the cornerstone of the Savage home.
Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn Savage; her parents, Gordon Courneya; and three of her sons, Glenn, Rick, and Phil, her daughter-in-law, Melinda Beck Savage and her great granddaughter, Wilder.
She is survived by her two sons, Mike and Steve; her sister-in-law, Jean LaRocco; twelve grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a lifetime of cherished memories shared with extended family and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday the 26th at 4:30 PM at 214 Tempe Dr, Granite Shoals, TX 78654, ALL are welcome.
