

Travis Lee Quinn ~ known by many as “Bear”, passed away peacefully in his home that he shared with his wife, Leah, in Meadowlakes, Texas on July 29, 2025. Travis was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2017.
Travis was born November 19, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Travis Earl and Lois Chumbley Quinn. He married Leah Diann Rose Quinn on May 26, 1973 at the Darren Luke Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by Travis and Lois Quinn (parents), Linda Lewis (sister) and Dale Quinn (brother)
He is survived by Leah Quinn (wife), Jeremy Quinn (son) and wife Kaci, Tyler Quinn (son) and wife Amanda, Pam Quinn (sister), Sharon Hartley (sister), Cynthia Stanley (sister), and husband George, Gail Arney (sister) and husband Mike, Nancy Foster (sister) and husband Curtis, Mary Lynn Phillips (sister) and husband Denny, grandchildren Harrison and Cadence Quinn, Joshua Handley, Jonah and Noah Walker, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Travis was a retired Firefighter for Houston Fire Department Station 7C, he proudly served 29 years, 10 months from 08/17/1975 - 06/20/2005.
During his service, Travis received the following Awards/Accolades: Emergency Medical Commendation 1993; Citation of Valor 1995; Unit Valor Commendation 1996; Unit Meritorious Award 1996; Unit Meritorious Award 1997; Unit Meritorious Award 1998; Meritorious Service Medal 1998; Firehouse Magazine - Heroism Honorable Mention 1999; Firehouse Magazine Heroism Medal 1999; Firefighter of the quarter twice and was the Finalist in Houston Firefighter of the Year 1994 - 95
He was a former member of Rock Steady Boxing in Mountain Home, Arkansas (Parkinson's Disease strength building program)
