

He was born on April 1, 1938, in Houston, Texas, to Richard and Omar Galey. He graduated from Webster High School in 1956, where he excelled in athletics. Bill was a proud member of the 1956 Webster High School Boys Basketball Team that earned third place in the UIL State Tournament. In recognition of that achievement, the team was inducted into the CCISD Athletic Hall of Honor in 2019.
Bill devoted many years of service to Union Carbide in Texas City, retiring in 1995 as a Line Operator Supervisor. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and dedication to providing for his family.
A man of deep faith, Bill found great purpose in serving others. He faithfully served as an elder at Victory Church of Highland in Marble Falls, where he shared God’s love and encouraged those around him. He also enjoyed watching Westerns, cheering on his favorite football teams, and spending time outdoors hunting.
Bill is survived by his children: Kim Wimberly of Fort Worth; Kurt Galey and wife Judy of College Station; Doug Morris and wife Tina of Prosper; Kevin Galey and wife Leslie of Burleson; Kelly Galey of League City; and Kimberly Whatley and husband Boyce of Kildare. He was also blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his close friend and companion Lisa Mills of Horseshoe Bay.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gay Galey; his son, Todd Morris of Katy; and his daughters, Kelley Kay Loupee and Kristy Hendrix of Kildare.
Bill will be remembered for his unwavering faith, love for his family, and the kindness and integrity he showed throughout his life. His legacy of faith, service, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
